so basically you don't use you at all, and if it's a close friend you can also use their name instead

In the Serbian language, we also do not use YOU.

For example:

Are you going to the pool tomorrow?
Ideš li sutra na bazen? (informally)
Idete li sutra na bazen? (formal/plural)
Ideš li TI sutra na bazen? (informally with YOU – TI)
Idete li VI sutra na bazen?(formal/plural with YOU – VI)

ideš/idete – going
li – are
sutra – tomorrow
na – to
bazen – the pool

Also, through the verb, but only in the past tense, we know the gender of the person.

Juče je trčala maraton. – She ran a marathon yesterday.
Juče je trčao maraton. – He ran a marathon yesterday.

You can see that in the sentence in Serbian we do not use the pronouns ON (HE) and ONA (SHE).
And here's what it looks like when we use the personal pronouns HE (ON) and SHE (ONA).

Ona je juče trčala maraton. – She ran a marathon yesterday.
On je juče trčao maraton. – He ran a marathon yesterday.

That's why it's much easier for me to learn those rules in Japanese. And, I hope that one day I will be able to translate my poetry into Japanese. If anyone likes poetry and wants to help me, contact me on Facebook – Zera Princ.

And, yes, we have the most perfect alphabet in the world – Serbian Cyrillic. One voice – one letter.

Do you have a video about how to get into the mindset of thinking in japanese, how to start to train yourself to do so and tips and tricks on how to better get into the flow of "thinking" in japanese?
